The engineering fraternity in Kenya has seen several woes for the last four or so moths with some course in the higher learning institutions being discredited .
More than 1000 varsity students from Egerton were sent away from school on 23rd September .This is due to the ongoing demonstrations by students who have pilled a lot of pressure to the administration .
The Kenya Engineering Board has refused to accredit three engineering courses saying they do not meet the requirements. Affected are the courses of Bachelor of Science in Instrumentation and Control Engineering; civil and Environmental Engineering ;and Energy Engineering.
Student Union Chairman Juma Frederick blamed the university for taking too long to clear the fuculties with the the regulator and vowed to defy the order to go home .
